S.T.A.L.K.E.R. 2 – Yes, it’s coming out and here’s what we know!
If you are a fan of the film Stalker from 1979 you probably also like the video game Stalker which has been inspired by the movie. Well, Stalkers fans can finally be happy because they can expect the sequal to their favorite game quite soon – S.T.A.L.K.E.R. 2: Heart of Chernobyl. Let’s dive deeper into the official release date and what we know so far about S.T.A.L.K.E.R. 2.
The delay
What gamers hate the most (besides bad internet connection) is when video game releases get postponed. All of that built up excitement just vanishes and instead you simply get disappointed. Stalker fans had to face this inconvenience too some time ago. Namely, the creators of the game shared their message on official socials that they needed more time to completely perfect the game. This is understandable – they want to give the fans the best possible product – but we cannot say it wasn’t a bit disappointing to read that message.
The release
So, when will the game finally be released? Luckly for all of us, we don’t have to wait too long. The game is still being released this year – December 8, to be precise. However, since the game developers are based in Ukraine, it might be too soon to say whether this is a realistic deadline. The situation in their country could make it more difficult for them to fulfill this promise. In the meantime, we can take a look at all of the things we know already about the game and patiently wait for it to come out.
The story
The trailers and the teasers we got for Stalker 2 were amazing, but too vague to determine the exact story of the game. As far as I can see, the story will be similar to previous Stalker games, which means we will be going back to the Zone in search of various treasures.
But, even if we did know the plot of the game, it wouldn’t really matter since the game can be influenced by your decisions. This is probably the thing I am looking forward to the most! Imagine having such freedom within a video game.
Open world
If you didn’t like that in the previous installments of the game we didn’t have a completely open world, your wishes are coming true. The game representatives said that the map is going to be fully open to exploration however players want to explore it.
