Hades: A review
When I tell people that I love video games, they look at me like I’m an alien. “How is pressing buttons and staring at a screen fun?” they ask. I never understand how someone could ask this question when they’re watching TV or reading a book. Everybody has a different ways to spend their free time after all. Some of us play video games, others browse offers at https://bets-promo-code.co.uk/, and others read books, I got it. It’s all subjective.
But I’m not here to argue with folks about the merits of gaming – suffice it to say that if you want to play video games, Hades could be the game for you. Hades is actually rather fun and quickly drawn out, yet challenging at the same time, a game for diehard indie game fans.
The storyline of the video game Hades
Hades is a rogue-like game. The player starts as Zagreus, who is the Prince of Hell. He is trying to escape from Hell and reach Mount Olympus in order to meet his father. After dying, the player returns to your room in Hell and has to start from the beginning.
Each time you play through Hades, there are different enemies and items that appear, so the game always keeps you on your toes.
There are also different gods and goddesses who will help you out during your journey.
The gameplay
The gameplay of Hades is great fun. I personally enjoy rogue-like games because they make it easy for me to pick up my controller at any time and play for a few minutes or hours depending on what I have going on that day. The combat of Hades is very fast pace, which I really enjoy because it really keeps you engaged during your playtime. The graphics are decent – nothing too flashy or complicated, but good enough to be immersive without being distracting. The music is just as good; there’s a theme song that plays whenever you’re about to go on a mission. It’s not super memorable, but it does get you pumped up for the quest ahead!
Difficulty
Hades is a tough game. That’s not to say it’s hard to play, or not fun (in fact, it’s a delight to play) – it just means that when you lose in Hades, every time you lose, you’re reminded that the struggle itself was the point.
Your character tries to escape from hell by fighting off the different monsters you encounter along the way. You can try to get out of hell as many times as you want – but each time you fail, you have to start over from the beginning. And trust me… you will fail. A lot. But that’s okay! The game has a storyline that unfolds as you play and learn more about why your character is there and why they’re trying to escape. Along the way, you’ll meet different characters who help your character grow, and in turn help YOU remember what made all of this so important in the first place. Even if it’s hard to get there sometimes.
